We are a biorefinery that makes a difference. When the world needs to change, we are part of the solution. By using our biological resources – such as trees – in a smart and sustainable way, we can replace fossil resources and reduce our environmental impact.
We are driven by the world’s growing need for sustainable products. Our products cellulose, lignin and bioethanol are bio-based raw materials used in the production of different types of end products, such as clothing, medicine, packaging and much more. All our products originate from sustainable forestry. Production takes place in the world’s first fully enclosed and chlorine-free bleaching plant, with great respect for the environment.
Cellulose is Domsjö’s main product. It is produced from coniferous wood that comes mainly from the northern parts of Sweden.
Domsjö Fabriker is one of the world’s leading producers of lignin. We are a reliable supplier with a product characterized by consistent and good quality, originating from sustainable forestry.
Domsjö BioEtanol is a high-quality product and is classified as a second-generation ethanol. The raw material used in the production is a residual product from an existing production, in our case specialty cellulose.
