Bioethanol

Domsjö BioEtanol is a high quality product.
It is classified as a second-generation ethanol, as the raw material originates from the forest. This means that our ethanol does not compete with the production of food and agricultural land.

Combined with the fact that it is also ISCC certified, this makes it a product of the highest sustainability class. Being ISCC certified means that the raw material used in manufacturing originates from already existing manufacturing process.

Low climate impact

All chemicals currently made from oil can be made from ethanol instead. Our BioEtanol contributes to a low climate impact and is seen as a sustainable alternative in the production of bio-based ethanol products. Much of the bioethanol we produce is used as a low blend in gasoline, a renewable alternative that reduces the amount of fossil fuel. Our bioethanol is also found in technical applications such as refrigerant in heat pumps, flushing fluid and in the paint industry. Domsjö BioEtanol is ISCC certified.

BioEtanol's way to the market

Domsjö Fabriker has been working closely with Sekab, a Swedish green chemical company, for many years. Our bioethanol is delivered to Sekab for further processing and sale to end customers.
